Lulea ( Luleå ) is located in Sweden north of Norrbotten area of a city. Lulea is also home to the provincial capital of Norrbotten and the seat of the Lutheran diocese.
The town of Gammelstad Church in the nearby town of Lulea was registered as a World Cultural Heritage in 1996 . In the district of Luleå, there are more than 800 small islands.
